How to Clean Scentsy Wax Warmers

Wax warmers are great for adding fragrance to your home without using traditional candles or incense. They’re also easy to use and maintain, making them a popular choice among homeowners. But how do you properly clean Scentsy wax warmers? We’ll tell you how.

How to Clean Scentsy Wax Warmers

Remove the wax.

If your Scentsy dish is still warm and the wax in liquid form, you can simply use a cotton ball or paper towel to soak up the wax inside and dispose of it. We also sell Cotton Clean Ups and these are fantastic for changing your wax. One cotton clean up will absorb the wax of several warmers at a time so if you change wax in multiple warmers at once this is a great way to do it.

If the warmer was off and the wax inside is hard, you can use a small plastic spatula or other device to push or scrape it out. But be careful so you don’t hurt yourself or break/scrape the dish.

Wipe out or rinse.

After removing the dish, you can wipe out any wax or residue remaining with a paper towel and even rinse with water if you’d like. (Rinsing only applies to the removable dish. Do not put warmers that have the dish attached in any water.)

Sometimes dust in the air gets trapped in the wax and will leave a dark residue behind that doesn’t wipe out easily. This is completely normal. Do not use any abrasive cleaners or scrub brushes as this might damage the dish but you can use our counter clean or a magic eraser and that usually gets that cleaned out easy peasy.

Dry completely.

Once you’ve rinsed your Scentsy warmer dish, all you have to do is dry it with a paper towel and remove any excess water. That’s it. Now you’re ready to go!

It’s that simple!

As you can see, it’s not difficult to clean Scentsy wax warmers. The most important things to remember is never touch a hot wax dish and be careful when handling the dish because you don’t want to break it.

We hope you get the most out of your Scentsy warmer. By the way, these have a lifetime warranty unlike other warmers sold online or at other retailers.

P.S. If you do break your wax dish, we might be able to get you a new one — just contact us. We sell replacement dishes as well as bulbs for your wax warmers as well.
